Kaju Katli Calories: 393 Cal per serving
Serves: 4
Ingredients for Kaju Katli
- Cashew Nuts/Kaju - 200gms
- Sugar 3/4th Cup
- Cardamom Powder - 1/4th tsp
- Ghee - 1/2 cup
Method of making Homemade Kaju Katli Recipe
- First of all, you will have to grind the Cashew Nuts into a smooth Paste.
- Now, you have to melt the sugar in a wok along with a cup of water and make your sugar syrup.
- Once, the sugar syrup is made, you can add the Cashew Nut Powder in the sugar Syrup.
- (Remember- KEEP THE FLAME ON MEDIUM).
- Add 3-4 tsp of Ghee and Cook the Cashew Nut Paste, until the mixture turns fragrant and starts leaving the corners of the wok.
- Now, Get the mixture out on a greased heavy bottom plate and allow it to cool down for some time.
- DO NOT COOL IT OFF COMPLETELY.
- Start kneading a dough of the Cashew Nut & Sugar Mixture.
- Make a soft dough.
- Now, take out your Rolling pin and roll out the dough on your Rolling Board.
- Once, it's done, take a sharp Kitchen Knife, and cut the dough into Barfi or Diamond shapes.
- Now, if you want, you can take Silver Vark and spread it over the Kaju Katli. (Howver, I never use it as it is harmfull for health)
- Rather, you can use Rose Petals and Cashew Nuts to decorate your Plate full of Kaju Barfis and serve it.
- Serve your Kaju Katli to your family and friends and enjoy it's delightful taste.
