Maa Ladoos or Maladu are one of the most popular Indian Sweets. The Recipe of Maladu basically involves roasting the powdered Roasted Chana & then flavoring it using sugar, and cardamom powder. It is then decorated with Cashew Nuts.

Serves: 12
Ingredients
- Fried Gram/Bhuna Chana - 1 cups
- Cashew nuts: 10 to 12
- Ghee (Clarified Butter) - 1/2 cup
- Green Cardamom Powder - 1 tsp
- Powdered sugar - 2 cups
The Recipe for Atta Ladoo:
- First of all, grind the sugar along with green cardamom pods and keep it aside.
- Now, also grind the Fried Gram into a smooth paste.
- Now, take a non stick wok and add ghee into it.
- Slightly roast the cashew nuts.
- Now Pour in 1 cups of Fried Gram paste in it.
- Stir it continuously for 12 to 15 minutes until you can see a golden color, and the fried gram also gets fragrant.
- Now quickly add in the nuts along with the Green Cardamom powder.
- Turn of the flame.
- Allow it to cool down for some time.
- Now, stir in the powdered sugar in it.
- Allow it to cool down just a little. (DO NOT GET IT COLD, YOU HAVE TO MAKE LADOOS WHILE THE MIXTURE IS STILL HOT)
- Now, apply Ghee on your palms, and make small Walnut sized balls.
- You can stuff in a piece of Cashew Nut in the Ladoos.
- After you are done making these Ladoos, you can cool them and serve them or store them in an air tight container for a month.
