Ingredients for Jalebi
- Maida: 600gms
- Corn flour: 1/2 cup
- Yoghurt: 3 cups
- Baking soda: 2 pinches
- Cardamom Powder - 1/4th tsp
- Ghee - 3-4 cups
- Saffron: 2 pinch
- Powdered Sugar: 4 cups
- Food Color: 1/2 tsp
Recipe of making Homemade Jalebi
- First of all, you will have to make a batter.
- For the batter take the Maida, Corn flour, baking soda, food color, ghee and Yogurt.
- Mix it all together into a smooth - non lumpy batter and keep it overnight.
- Next day, you can use it to make Jalebis
- First of all melt the ghee in the wok
- Take the Jalebi maker or use a clean muslin cloth and in it pour in the Jalebi batter.
- Make a small cut at the tip of the cone and start making concentric circles starting from inside and them move towards outside.
- At one go, you can make as many Jalebis as you want to.
- Once they start to turn golden brown, you can turn them and fry the next side.
- Once, fried, you can get it out and allow them to get rest inside the sugar syrup.
- After the Jalebis have soaked in the sweetness, you can serve it hot along with Rabri or anything else you like.
