Here I have described the way to make authentic German cheesecake. So let us just start;
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cup white sugar
- ½ cup melted butter
- 2 tablespoon cornstarch
- 4 eggs
- 3 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 8 ounce or 28g cream cheese
- 1 pound small curd cottage cheese or Quark
- 1 ½ tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Lemon juice of around 1 lemon
How to make the authentic German cheesecake
Step 1. Preheat the oven to 350F.
Step 2. In a bowl blend sugar, cornstarch, flour
Step 3. In a separate bowl put the cream cheese and the cottage cheese (Germans use quark so if you can find it, it’s best but you can also use cheesecake in case you don’t find it. Don’t be sad, it won’t cause any harm and your cake will taste the best as long as your magical hands are doing the work) and blend it into a smooth paste with an electric beater.
Step 4. Now add the melted butter to the fluffy residue
Step 5. Now we’ll add the sugar mixture into this.
Step 6. Now we’ll put one egg at a time and whisk it simultaneously
Step 7. Now squeeze out the lemon juice and vanilla extract and whisk it smooth.
Step 8. Now put the cheesecake into the oven and forget about it for 1 hour and few more minutes.
Step 9. After an hour, let your yummylicious cheesecake be inside the oven for another 2 hours. (I know its hard to resist this tempting cake but trust me it's more than worth it to wait it out. This is necessary because of the high density of this cheesecake)
Step 10. After 2 hours, you must wait for another 4 hours and let it chill itself out.
Step 11. Pat on your back for baking the most delicious authentic German cheesecake and also for waiting out for so long. Now I won't keep you engaged so just grab a spoon and pounce on this delectable cake unapologetically.
Happy Desserts & Happy cooking to you 🙂
