Recipe of Nasi Goreng
Ingredients:
- 2 cups/300g long grained white rice, rinsed
- 2 ½ Tablespoon Kecap Manis( Indonesian sweet soy sauce)
- 1 Tablespoon Dark soy sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Sweet Chilli Sauce
- ¼ Cup peanut oil/vegetable oil
- 4 Eggs lightly were beaten
- 1 Brown Onion thinly sliced
- 3/20g Finely chopped Garlic Cloves
- 1 peeled and finely chopped carrot
- 2 Small chicken Breast chopped into small even chunks
- 300g Green Prawns peeled and roughly chopped
- ¼ cup fried shallot
- Chopped and deseeded red chillies
- 1 tablespoon tomato puree
- 8-10 green beans.
Procedure:
- First, we take the rice in a saucepan filled with water and bring it to boil. Now we cover it with a tight lid, reduce the heat and cook it for 10 minutes. Now we undo the lid and fluff up the rice with a fork and keep it aside.
- Now we’ll take a frying pan (larger the better) with 1 tbsp. oil and bring down the heat to medium. We add the beaten eggs and try keeping the yolks in the centre let it cook for a couple of minutes and once it’s done we turn it. Now we keep this omelette aside so that it cools down after which we’ll strip it into lean and long shreds.
- Take the green beans and put them in boiling salt water, and once done remove them and wash over in cold water.
- Now we take a deep pan or a wok and put in some oil and heat till its smoking hot.
- Now we have got to put our chickens and prawns into the wok and stir-fry them for just 1 minute. Without any delay throw in your shallots, chillies, garlic and carrots and stir-fry for the next 2 minutes till they change colour slightly and then add in the rice, tomato puree, the cooked green beans, and the sauce mixture.
- Sauté all of it nicely over high heat for 2-3 minutes.
- For serving overlap cucumber and tomatoes to the side of the warm plates. Serve Nasi Goreng in the centre along with fried onions and prawn crackers.
Voila! We’ve completed making this delicious dish. Now without any more delay pounce on it and let me know how it was!
